This $1500 scholarship is available to all EMS, Nursing, and Allied Health students nationwide -- no essay required! One $1500 scholarship will be awarded for each category (3 separate scholarship winners in total).
To be eligible for a Platinum Educational Group Smith Award Scholarship, students must be currently enrolled in one of the the below programs:

Allied Health programs include anesthesia technician, dental assistant, dental hygiene, diagnostic medical sonographers, medical assistant, medical lab technologists, occupational therapy assistant, ophthalmic medical technician, patient care technician, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy, radiography/radiological technology, respiratory care/therapy, surgical assistant, surgical technology, veterinary technician and more.

Scholarships Award Announcements
All scholarships will be chosen and recorded via a random drawing using www.random.org and publicly announced on June 5, 2025. Awardees will be notified by email and/or phone ahead of the public announcement.

What is the Purpose of Assessments?
Assessments are not just about measuring knowledge; they provide insight into how students learn and retain information. By examining how students approach an exam—not just their final scores—we can identify gaps in their test-taking skills. If a student does not know how to take an assessment, we cannot accurately measure their understanding.

Please join us in celebrating a very special milestone—Sarah Smith’s 10-year anniversary with Platinum Educational Group!
Sarah began her journey with us in 2015 as part of our Customer Support and Training Team, quickly mastering the ins and outs of our products. Her keen insight and passion for continuous improvement led her to new opportunities within the company, including Testing and Development.
In 2022, Sarah became our Product Manager, serving as the single point of contact for implementation questions during product development. She now leads the charge in reviewing and approving new features and upgrades, all while ensuring everything works seamlessly for our customers. Her commitment to quality is unwavering, and her thoughtful, collaborative approach makes her a joy to work with.
Sarah continues to engage directly with our customers every day, including active participation in all of our Platinum Advisory Committees and supporting our Education and Training team. Her deep product knowledge, combined with her dedication to customer success, has made a lasting impact across all areas of our organization.

What a difference a generation makes—in 2007, a report from the Institute of Medicine pointed out the lack of evidence supporting most prehospital patient care protocols and practices. While most EMS systems were making treatment decisions based on what they felt was best for patients, there was little evidence to back it up.
